Eurojackpot Joker

A Joker game identical to that which is played alongside Vikinglotto can also be played with Eurojackpot. This is often known as the ‘Friday Joker’, where Vikinglotto’s game is known as the ‘Wednesday Joker’.

To play, choose a series of numbers between 0 and 9. The same number can be chosen more than once. You win prizes by matching your numbers with the digits of the randomly generated Joker number in exactly the same place. The game is played separately in each participating country, so each generates its own winning Joker series and pays out its own prizes.

You can play Joker alongside Eurojackpot in Finland, Iceland and Latvia. Other countries, such as Norway, Sweden and Denmark, play Joker alongside Vikinglotto but do not allow you to play it with Eurojackpot. See the Joker page for more information.

Interesting Facts

The first Eurojackpot draw took place on 23rd March 2012 with seven participating countries: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Slovenia. Poland was the most recent country to join in September 2017, becoming the 18th participating nation.

Originally, there was no specified limit to the jackpot amount but it could only rollover for 12 consecutive draws before it had to be won. However, this meant that the jackpot could not climb very high, so it was replaced with a specific cap of €90 million in February 2013.
