Italian superenalotto

Italian lottery superenalotto (6 of 90)

How to Play

To play SuperEnalotto, players select six numbers between 1 and 90 and the jackpot is won by matching all six main numbers. If no player matches all the winning numbers, the top prize will roll over to the following draw. As players are required to match six numbers from a large pool of numbers in order to win the top prize, SuperEnalotto jackpots regularly roll over and as there is no jackpot cap, substantial top prizes are not unusual. To date, the largest SuperEnalotto jackpot stands at €209 million and was won by a single ticket holder in August 2019.

There are many others ways to win prizes, though, as players can scoop great cash rewards from matching as few as two main numbers in the game. The winning combinations and odds of winning a prize are as follows:

SuperEnalotto Prizes

There are six prize divisions in the SuperEnalotto game, and details of how to win each one are presented in the table below, along with the odds of you succeeding in each tier:

Match 6 1 in 622,614,630
Match 5 + Jolly number 1 in 103,769,105
Match 5 1 in 1,250,230
Match 4 1 in 11,907
Match 3 1 in 327
Match 2 1 in 22

The overall odds of winning in any tier are 1 in 20, and players can even pick up instant prizes as they buy their tickets. Following changes to the rules in early 2016, participants will be presented with prizes from €25 on the spot if they match the four numbers in a ‘Magic Square’ printed on their receipt.

SuperEnalotto SuperStar Prizes

In addition to the main SuperEnalotto prizes, players have the chance to win additional prizes through the SuperStar side-game. To play SuperStar, players select their SuperEnalotto numbers as normal and, for an additional fee, select a SuperStar number between 1 and 90.

If the player matches the SuperStar drawn alongside any of the six winning combinations available in the main game and matches some or all of the main numbers drawn, the prize is increased and in some cases multiplied by as much as 100. SuperStar ticket holders are also guaranteed to win prizes as long as the SuperStar number on their ticket matches the one drawn. The SuperEnalotto SuperStar prizes are as follows:

Match 6 + SuperStar SuperEnalotto jackpot plus €2 million
Match 5 + Jolly number + SuperStar Second tier SuperEnalotto prize plus €1 million
Match 5 + SuperStar 25x the SuperEnalotto Match 5 prize
Match 4 + SuperStar 100x the SuperEnalotto Match 4 prize
Match 3 + SuperStar 100x the SuperEnalotto Match 3 prize
Match 2 + SuperStar €100
Match 1 + SuperStar €10
Match SuperStar €5

*In exceptional circumstances, SuperEnalotto players may receive a smaller prize than advertised which will be calculated based on the prize pool and the number of winners.

Lottery Strategies to Help You Win Loto Italia Superenalotto

Lottery numbers are randomly drawn. But randomly drawn numbers form patterns
that can be tracked and used to our advantage. Having carefully analyzed all
the drawing results of more than 200 different lotto games worldwide, with
histories going back as far as 1955, we have verified the following incredibly
simple rule:

That which is MOST POSSIBLE happens MOST OFTEN.
That which is LEAST POSSIBLE happens LEAST OFTEN.

The key to Smart Luck’s successful lotto number selection methods is playing
the probabilities. If you play a pattern that occurs only five
percent of the time, you can expect that pattern to lose 95
percent of the time, giving you no chance to win 95 percent of
the time. So, don’t buck the probabilities.

Lottery Wheels

Balanced Wheel Systems allow you to
bet a large group of numbers (more than 6), play scientific combinations of that group
of numbers, and get a specific minimum win guarantee. Balanced Wheels force all the
winning numbers that are in your group to come together to give you at least one prize
if some or all of the winning numbers are in your chosen group.

It’s true that the more numbers you wheel, the easier it is to trap the winning
numbers in your chosen group. But to get the most leverage for your money, the optimum
number of numbers to wheel is not more than four or five numbers over HALF the numbers
in your game. For the best way to win Italy SuperEnalotto, that means wheeling less than 50 of the total 90 numbers.
Otherwise, you’ll be spending MORE money chasing a SMALLER guaranteed prize.
You benefit more by wheeling a carefully selected group of lotto numbers.

Any one wheeling
system that covers ALL the numbers in the game is too spread out, making the win
guarantee not worth the wager. There are smart ways to wheel all the numbers in
the game by using Trap-by-Overlap and other wheeling strategies covered on pages
137 to 142 in the Lottery Master Guide.

Most of Smart Luck’s lottery winners used a Balanced Wheel

number selection methods. You can use a

Superenalotto history

Originally, SuperEnalotto was called Lotto, a game where you had to guess 5 numbers up 90: it resembled the Totocalcio, because it was a 1X2 game, the results corresponded to the first number drawn from the Lotto wheels in alphabetical order, plus the second extracted on the wheels of Rome and Naples.

Only in the 1950s, after having introduced various extractions throughout Italy, Enalotto made its debut on the gaming scene. The players, Now, as well as having the ability to identify the right number range, they can also set a stake.

In 1997, after an Enalotto crisis, SuperEnalotto was born as we know it today, conceived by Rodolfo Molo, former president of Sisal. The rules change: the numbers to guess became 6 from 1 e 90 and the first winning numbers are drawn on the wheels of Florence, Bari, Roma, Milano, Palermo, Naples. The Jolly extracted in Venice is introduced.

The first extraction of the 1997 had winning numbers 20 36 39 41 76, and 88 as Jolly: to have the first jackpot winner you have to wait for a player from the province of Brescia who won 16 billions of lire on 17 January 1998.

Wednesday 2 January 2002, following the introduction of the euro, the first payment with the new banknotes takes place in Italy. The minimum bet from two columns costs 1 €.

In 2006 the SuperStar number is introduced by Sisal, an additional game that aims to increase the number of winners.

The 28 December 2008 it was a lucky day for the player who guessed it is 6 numbers that the SuperStar. The jackpot was 45 million euros, plus SuperStar bonuses worth 2 millions.

In 2009, an important change is made. The results of the SuperEnalotto draw no longer depend on the numbers drawn on the Lotto reels. The main numbers are drawn through separate ballot boxes in Rome.

In 2016 increases the cost of bets, from this moment on, purchasing a minimum of two games is no longer mandatory.
Moreover, A new prize category is introduced to help increase the chances of winning.

Save Money by Knowing Lotto Numbers to Avoid

Lotto players who select their lottery numbers thoughtlessly or foolishly are destined to lose even before the drawing takes place.
By knowing which number combinations and patterns to avoid, you’ll have an advantage over such players—and save money, too.

Many players like to bet the numbers that have won someone else a big jackpot, and
by doing so, they are almost guaranteed NOT to win one themselves. In lotus Italy SuperEnalotto 690,
with three drawings a week, a set of 6 numbers has a chance of being drawn once
every 399,112 years!!! This should also answer the question we are so often asked,
“Shouldn’t I keep playing the same set of numbers every week because they are due
to hit sometime?”

Six consecutive numbers have never been drawn in any state or international
Lotto game. I have all the drawing results for more than 190 state and
international Lotto games, going back more than fifty years! Even five
consecutive numbers is a very rare occurrence that, in most Lotto games,
has never happened once.

Never choose all six numbers from one number group, such as all single digits, or
all teens, or all 20’s, etc. All six winning numbers drawn from one group is
highly unlikely.

The most popular set of numbers most often played is: 1-2-3-4-5-6. Thousands of
tickets are bought with this combination every drawing. The selection
is too far out of balance to come up in a random drawing.

Pattern betting is an even more popular method of marking bet slips. Patterns of
numbers marked in a row to make a straight line, either across the bet slip
vertically or diagonally get heavy play—which means sharing the prize with
others if the numbers are drawn as winners. Other designs such as patterns of
initials or numbers or crosses also get heavy play.

Other popular combinations that get heavy play are the number multiples, especially
5-10-15-20-25-30 and 7-14-21-28-35-42.

Many people like to play same last digits, such as 3-13-23-33-43, or all digits that
end in seven, or some other favorite lucky lottery number. Even four same last digits occur
in less than two-tenths of one percent of all drawings. Winning sets of numbers with
three last digits the same occur in less than 3 percent of all drawings. Winning sets
of numbers with no more than one repeated last digit represent nearly 90 percent of all

The majority of Lotto players like to play the calendar numbers, such as birth
dates and anniversaries—and their children’s ages. This means that the most
heavily played numbers are 1 through 31. Loto Italia 6 90 has 90 numbers. If you play
only the calendar numbers, you might be sharing your jackpot with dozens of other
winners. It’s not to say that you shouldn’t play your personal numbers if you feel these lucky numbers are good to play. But we recommend that you include a couple of high
numbers so that just in case your numbers do hit, you win a prize that’s worth

Quick Picks are used by lazy people who want to be in the action without putting
any effort into winning. When you read articles about jackpot winners, it appears
as though they all used either Quick Picks, birth dates, or their children’s ages.
The vast majority of people do play that way. If the majority of tickets sold are
Quick Picks, then it makes sense that the majority of jackpots won should be won
with Quick Picks. However, when you see the actual statistics, as we did, you’ll find that you have
a better chance of winning by picking numbers randomly out of a hat than by using
Quick Picks.

When and how the Superenalotto draw takes place

SuperEnalotto draws take place 3 times a week on fixed days: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 20:00. It is possible to play at any time on Mondays, on Wednesday, on Friday and Sunday.
As for holidays, it is up to the AAMS agent (Autonomous Agency of State Monopolies) communicate any changes.

The winning numbers are communicated at the headquarters of the State Monopolies in Piazza Mastai in Rome under the supervision of the Ministerial Commission.

They start with the extraction at 18:30, when the technical staff of the extraction machines check the correct functioning of the machinery intended for extraction.
After the green light from the technicians, the video-monitored safe in which they are located opens 3 briefcases, each containing 90 spheres.
The first case contains the winning sestina + the Jolly number, while the second is intended for the extraction of the SuperStar number. The third suitcase remains in the safe as a reserve.

All 19:30 the Winning Bets Determination Commission, separately, burn the games to a DVD.
After this phase, all 20:00, the Commission proceeds with the drawing through the ballot box.
The winning numbers are validated and associated with the relative jackpot value.

The determination of the winning bets, monitored by software, and the communication of the odds and the number of winners are the last steps in the SuperEnalotto extraction process.
